Durian Garden Worker Stats: Wages, Speed & Watering

What Do Worker Stats Tell You?

Durian Garden worker stats help you compare watering capacity, work speed, and the cost of keeping a gardener employed. Those differences matter once tree care starts competing with harvesting and selling for your attention. Hire for the work your farm needs, because salaries can eat through your earnings even while your orchard keeps producing.

The hiring menu includes attributes such as strength and speed. For a practical comparison, read the worker’s task description alongside those attributes: how many trees they water per refill, how quickly they complete tasks, and what they charge each day.

In the Tester build, Big Thong and Mali offer a clear capacity-versus-speed comparison:

Mali6250Puang Mani and Nok Jib

Big Thong’s task time is 1.33 seconds. Mali works faster but waters fewer trees per refill. Compare both details instead of choosing entirely by one stat: faster tasks and greater refill capacity describe different parts of the watering routine.

What Gardeners Actually Do

Gardeners handle tree care, including watering and applying tree tonics. They do not harvest durians. You still need to collect ripe fruit, load your truck, and take your produce to market.

Durian Garden — What Gardeners Actually Do

That distinction changes the value of a hire. If watering interrupts your harvest runs, a gardener can take that chore off your hands. If your main problem is collecting all the fruit already on your trees, another worker will not collect it for you.

Use the time freed up by tree care to:

  • Harvest ripe durians yourself.
  • Load produce and complete sales.
  • Tap rubber trees and collect latex.
  • Check market prices before selling valuable fruit.

Keep harvesting after you hire. Automated watering supports production, but your income still depends on getting that produce sold.

Why a Worker Can Appear Idle

A gardener standing around does not mean you should immediately hire another. Workers can appear stationary while tree care continues, and they also sleep.

Check whether your trees actually need water, then watch their water status instead of relying entirely on the worker’s animation. Ripe durians remaining on the branches are expected behavior: harvesting stays your job.

Hiring Fees and Salaries Are Separate Costs

Hiring involves an upfront payment and an ongoing salary. The hire list includes options costing 120 and 200 in-game money, while Noi costs 6,000 to recruit.

Do not compare those prices as though they represent the entire expense. A worker you can afford to hire can still become difficult to support if your regular sales are too small.

In the Tester build, the 250 daily wage is charged at night. Keep money available for payday instead of spending your remaining balance on seeds or another upgrade.

Judge affordability using repeatable farm income:

  1. Complete your usual harvest-and-sale routine.
  2. Account for the worker’s salary and other purchases.
  3. Compare what remains with what you earned before hiring.
  4. Add more labor only when the extra expense fits your earnings.

Do not use a one-time code reward as proof that your farm can support recurring wages. Free cash can cover recruitment, but future harvests need to cover the continuing bill.

Gifts Increase Worker Hearts

You can give workers gifts to raise their hearts. Their favorite durians appear in their hiring details, so check the individual preference before handing over fruit.

Mali’s preferences are Puang Mani and Nok Jib; Big Thong’s are Kradum Thong and Kan Yao. Use that information when choosing which fruit to keep for gifts.

Remember that a gifted durian is also fruit you could have sold. Cover wages and essential farm spending before directing valuable harvests toward hearts. Increasing affection does not replace the need to keep your farm profitable.

When to Spend on Workers

Start with a manageable number of trees and keep them watered yourself while establishing regular sales. Expand gradually, then consider a gardener when maintaining the orchard takes attention away from harvesting or rubber tapping.

Check the weather forecast on your hut’s TV before planning your watering routine. Rain waters trees automatically, reducing the manual care needed during wet weather.

Before recruiting, check three things:

  • Watering workload: Are trees running dry while you handle other chores?
  • Harvest workload: Will you still have time to collect and sell everything yourself?
  • Cash reserve: Can ordinary sales cover salaries without relying on another code reward?

If ripe fruit is piling up while the trees already have water, finish harvesting and selling before adding another gardener. Spend on labor when tree care is the chore slowing you down.
